Stacey + Madison | SmogShoppe

What a wonderful way to start off a new year.  Stacey & Madison got married on the second day of 2016 at one of our favorite venues, SmogShoppe.  We were honored to be referred by friends to this darling couple.  The love and admiration for these two was felt every where you turned.  From the wood box succulent arrangements her dad made to the gold painted coffee beans Madison spent hours dipping, the intimate touches were obvious.  Stacey crafted the table assignment geometric chandelier and each of the origami birds which held the guests place cards.  The framed photos of their engagement shoot found at the welcome table, bar and bookcase were breathtaking and truly captured how authentically in love they are.

As you sit back to look through these images taken by Becca Rillo Photography, I want to give a special shout out to Lea Beiley.  She not only performed the ceremony music, but is a dear friend to the couple and this coordinator.  Some of you may recognize her as my side kick on site as she graces me with her talents from time to time.

Krystal + Russell | Millwick

Krystal and Russell are one of those couples who warm the hearts of anyone who knows them.  They bring cheer where ever they go and are always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.  Their families are much the same.  Krystal is adorably close with both her dad and step-dad.  So much so that she asked both of them to walk her down the aisle and share the father daughter dance with her.  Both were emotional moments of R+Ks wedding day.

Being hands on during the planning process then seeing all of our ideas come to fruition puts goose bumps on my arms to this day.   Krystal works for a well known beverage company and Russell is a musician.  The venue was sprinkled with touches of the couples style and appreciation for what is worth doing.  A common statement made by Krystal, "We have to do it, it's worth it!"  In the images captured by their talented photographer, Kristina Adams Photography , you will see their crafting hand and our design vision come to life.

Maily + Hajime | Adamson House

Maily, Hajime and I met at a local restaurant to talk about all things wedding.  Quickly into the conversation they let me know they were moving to Shanghai.   We got the dates down that they would be in town and set a planning timeline.  She had a connection for a florist who has vintage inventory for rent smartly named Knot Just Flowers.  Together with her crew and a fantastic list of vendors, Maily + Hajime had the time of their lives.

Before you sit back with a cup of what ever you are in the mood for, allow me to point out a few details.  They wanted the California surf and world travels to be a part of the day.  They pulled this off in an such elegant way: the surfboard everyone signed as they arrive, the

Rachel + Eric | The 1909

On a gorgeous rainy day in July Rachel and Eric tied the knot.  Despite the challenges mother nature bestowed upon them they were calm, cool and collected.  The guests were wise to the changes and rose to the occasion.  All of the vendors worked as one to make their wedding day seamless and fun.  The images captured by John & Colette Photography show nothing short of a fairy tale.

Before you dive into the this warm gallery, a shout out has to be given to the couple who introduced me to Rachel and Eric.  Courtney and Scott who I had the honor of being their wedding coordinator the year prior. Thanks to their glowing referral of my services we were a part of this magical day.  xoxo

Karin + Hart | Oak Grove at Saddlerock Ranch

When the Father of the Bride calls to inquire about coordination for his daughters wedding, you know it is going to be extra special.  The love and care he took with every detail in planning their day was one for the record books.  Along with her mom and sister, every detail was thought of from the hand painted design on the invitations to the logo on everything you can think of, from the family heirloom overlay on the chuppah table to the FOB drumming with the Rembrandt Band.  Family and friends were treated to a magical day in the vineyards of The Oak Grove at Saddlerock Ranch

Karin + Hart's wedding was the third in the family in recent years.  The location for their big day was the perfect setting for the mix of champagne and whiskey.  Town & Country Event Rentals built two gorgeously romantic bars which represented the bride perfectly.  The groom had his own whiskey bar and lounge which represented his Kentucky roots properly.  The complete vendor list was an impressive group of some of our industries finest ~ list below the slideshow.

Alexa + Jack | Adamson House

Alexa and I first met in a quaint coffee shop in Culver City.  The conversation kept going off track in a good way.  We were being women and being real with one another.  After a hug goodbye I knew I was going to be in this girls life for a long time.  The email came and I was over the moon to be chosen to be a part of their wedding.

Her dad came to our first venue meeting which was delightful.  To witness his admiration for the Adamson House and how much sense it made for his darling daughter was touching.  She embraced her Mexican heritage focusing on Día de los Muertos from her floral headpiece to the bartenders being full face painted, from indigenous textiles to tortilla warmers for centerpiece vessels and from a taco cart for cocktail hour to a pinata for the wedding cake.  She thought of it all and we made it happen with enthusiasm.

We went full speed ahead with design, rentals and catering.  With the help of her florist, Shindig Chic, it all came together magically.   Alexa moved to London shortly after the initial planning began. Her now husband is from there and was already building their home for her arrival.  Thanks to modern technology we were able to keep tight communication throughout the process.  The first time I met Jack was on Skype which was a lovely treat being I was not going to shake his hand until much closer to the big day.  These two were meant for each other which you can see in the images captured by their very talented photog, Justin Lee Photography

Nili + Philip | Hotel Bel-Air

Nili and I had several telephone conversations before she and Philip invited me into their home.  Meeting there for the first time could not have been more perfect.  It gave me insight to who they were as a couple and how they imagined their wedding day.  Clean and simple with touches of family tradition.  Their backdrop was the Hotel Bel-Air which I quickly pointed out adorned the same chandelier as in their dining room.  Something they had not noticed yet.  It was meant to be just as they were meant to be.

Working with them to craft their guests experience, choose their florist, and scouting the property for the breathtaking photography moments was a delight.  They gave so much of their time to making their day as special as they are to each other.

Christine + Rabih | Marvimon House

When Christine first came to me she gushed over the man she was about to marry and for good reason.  After meeting him, I could see why by how much he loves and adores her.  There is something you feel when you are around people who have that connection.  They have it.

Christine talked about her Great Gatsby inspired vision in all its sparkle and grandeur.  She had various pieces picked out with elements of gold, glitter, crystal chandeliers... the whole dreamy wedding ensemble, right down to the vintage transportation.  All she needed was someone to tie it all together, which is where I came in.  We chose her table settings, planned out the placement of her design pieces, and worked with the imaginative Primary Petals to bring the look to life.

Working with the photographer, Sunday Morning Sunshine, and the videography team from Velavie was a dream.  They captured touching moments that Christine + Rabih will look back on for decades to come.

Jennifer + Matt | Calamigos Ranch

Jennifer is one unforgettable woman.  From the moment I heard her voice, I knew we were going to be styling her wedding together.  After meeting her mom and then future mother-in-law over lunch, I was hooked.

Calamigos Ranch, for those who do not know, is an all inclusive venue.  Meaning they provide chairs {ceremony & reception}, tables, standard linens, settings, food, beverage, and service.  What they do not have, which is most of its kind, is the entertainment {City Connection}, dessert {personal friend}, flowers {The Little Branch}, photography, {Michael and Anna Costa Photography}, videography {Matt Forrey Films} and myself.  Working with Jennifer to book those vendors was an adventure to say the least.

We had many outings for specialty linens {La Tavola Linen}, florist consultations, libations and the Rose Bowl Flea Market for design pieces.  Some of the items were crafted by her family and herself.  The impressive marque letters she personally built in a welding class and the table numbers were hand made by the father of the bride from a tree in their backyard.  The result is a gorgeous representation of her inspiring mind and appreciation for the color thistle.
